Profile
How the Profile page works, what you can change there, and which actions are personal versus business-wide.
Open Settings > Profile when you need to change your own account details or the way Work Planner looks for you. This is a personal page, not a business settings screen, so there is no business selector at the top.
Profile Information
- Name: This is your visible account name. It is the part you can update from this page.
- Email address: This is your login email. It is shown for reference but the field is disabled here, so this page does not change your sign-in email address.
- Save: The save button only applies to the profile-information card. If you have changed your name, this commits that update.
Appearance Settings
- Light: Keeps the app in the light colour scheme.
- Dark: Forces the dark colour scheme for this browser.
- System: Follows your device or browser theme automatically.
- Who it affects: Appearance is stored on the browser you are using, so it changes your own view of Work Planner without changing other team members, customer-facing documents, or website styling.
Passkeys
The Manage passkeys button takes you to the separate passkeys page. That is where you add or remove passwordless sign-in methods such as Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a hardware security key.
Reset Business Data
- Who sees it: This section only appears when you are the owner of at least one currently selected business.
- Business: If you own more than one selected business, choose the one you want to reset before opening either reset popup.
- Reset job data: Removes live running data such as customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, worksheets, services, payment methods, and similar operational records while leaving broader business setup in place.
- Reset all business data: Resets the business back to a fresh shell and also removes wider setup such as organisation settings, integrations, templates, invitations, and team access for other users.
- Business name confirmation: The reset popup will not continue until you type the exact business name shown on screen.
- Provider-side services: Resetting local data does not cancel provider-side subscriptions or mandates for you. Those still need to be cancelled separately in the provider itself.
Delete Account
The Delete account action opens a confirmation popup and permanently removes your account. Once confirmed, you are signed out and returned to the public side of the site. This is much broader than resetting one business, because it removes your user account rather than just tenant data.
