Import Data Home
What the Import Data home screen shows and how to choose the correct provider before starting an import.
Open Settings > Imports when you are bringing data in from another system. This screen does not ask for any files yet. Its job is simply to let you choose the provider you are importing from.
What The Screen Shows
- Cleaner Planner card: opens the Cleaner Planner import flow.
- Squeegee card: opens the Squeegee import flow.
- CSV file card: opens the CSV import flow, for bringing customers and jobs in from a spreadsheet rather than another system.
- Import button on each card: takes you to the upload screen for that provider.
Why Picking The Right Provider Matters
Each flow expects a different file and shows slightly different instructions. Starting from the correct card means the upload screen can tell you exactly which file type Work Planner expects, and in the case of CSV it gives you a template to fill in.
What Happens Next
Once you click Import, Work Planner takes you to a provider-specific upload page. That is where you choose the target business, upload the export file, and start the import itself. From there, progress and any cancellation options are covered in Import Progress and Cancellation.
