Import Data Home
What the Import Data section of Settings shows and how to choose the correct provider before starting an import.
Open Settings > Import Data when you are bringing data in from another system. This section of the Settings page does not ask for any files yet. Its job is simply to let you choose the provider you are importing from.
What The Section Shows
- Cleaner Planner: opens the Cleaner Planner import flow.
- Squeegee: opens the Squeegee import flow.
- CSV file: opens the CSV import flow, for bringing customers and jobs in from a spreadsheet rather than another system.
- After setting up a business: If you choose Import Existing Data when you set up a new business, Work Planner opens a screen with the same three choices, each with an Import button.
Why Picking The Right Provider Matters
Each flow expects a different file and shows slightly different instructions. Starting from the correct one means the upload screen can tell you exactly which file type Work Planner expects, and in the case of CSV it gives you a template to fill in.
What Happens Next
Once you choose a provider, Work Planner takes you to its upload page. That is where you choose the target business, upload the export file, and start the import itself. From there, progress and any cancellation options are covered in Import Progress and Cancellation.
