Quote Images

How quote images are uploaded, reviewed, deleted, and copied into jobs after confirmation.

Quote images are there to give the team visual context before a price is agreed and before the work is turned into live jobs.

Uploading Images

  • Images field: You can attach up to 5 images to a quote.
  • File size limit: Each image can be up to 10MB.
  • What to upload: Site access photos, damage photos, before-condition photos, or any picture that makes the quote easier to understand later.
  • When to leave images out: If the quote is straightforward and the team does not need visual context, there is no need to add files just for the sake of it.

Working With Existing Images

  • Existing Images block: In edit mode, saved images appear above the upload area so you can see what is already attached.
  • Click to preview: Selecting a thumbnail opens the image viewer popup, which is useful when the thumbnail is too small to check properly.
  • Delete button: The delete button sits on the image thumbnail itself. Use that when an image is wrong, duplicated, or no longer relevant.
  • Add New Images: Uploading more files does not replace the existing ones. It adds to the quote unless you deliberately delete older images.

Where Else You See Quote Images

  • Quotes List: A small image icon beside the reference tells you the quote has at least one attached image.
  • Quote Detail View: Images appear in their own section as larger thumbnails, making it easier to review them before sending or confirming the quote.

What Happens After Confirmation

  • Images are copied to jobs: When the quote is confirmed, Work Planner copies the quote images onto the jobs created from it.
  • Why this matters: The team does not need to return to the original quote just to see the site photos once the work is live.
  • Best time to tidy images: If an image should not follow the job through, remove it while the quote is still editable.
