WorkQuotes
Quote Detail View
How the quote detail view is organised, including actions, tabs, services, pricing, images, and related jobs.
The quote detail view is where the whole quote comes together. It shows the pricing, dates, customer details, images, and the action buttons that move the quote from open work into confirmed jobs.
Action Bar
- Delete: Only appears when the quote is still in a deletable state, such as received, pending, or declined.
- Decline Quote: Appears on sent quotes and closes the quote off without turning it into work.
- Print: Generates a quote PDF from the current record.
- Send Quote: Opens the send popup so service prices can be checked and the quote can be moved into Sent status.
- Confirm Quote: Appears when the quote has already been sent and is ready to become customer and job records.
- Edit and Go To: Edit changes with the current tab. On the customer tab, Go To jumps into the linked customer record after confirmation.
Details Tab
- Dates: Due Date, Sent Date, Confirmed Date, and Created Date are all shown together so you can see the full life of the quote at a glance.
- Status: The badge tells you whether the quote is received, pending, sent, confirmed, or declined.
- Customer sections: Customer Source, Customer Information, Address, and Contact Information stay on the details tab until the quote is confirmed and a dedicated customer tab becomes available.
- Services: Every quoted service is shown as a badge, along with the saved price breakdown for that service.
- Images: Attached images appear as thumbnails. Click any image to open the image viewer popup.
- Related Jobs: After confirmation, job buttons appear so you can jump into the jobs created from the quote.
- Pricing: The detail view shows subtotal, VAT, and total. If the quote does not have stored totals yet, Work Planner falls back to the service pricing totals.
Extra Tabs After Confirmation
- Job(s) tab: Appears once the quote is confirmed and related jobs exist. This tab shows the jobs table for the jobs created from the quote.
- Customer tab: Appears when the confirmed quote has a linked customer record. It shows the customer information that now sits behind the confirmed work.
- Why the extra tabs matter: Once the quote becomes live work, the detail view turns into a bridge between the original quote, the created jobs, and the created or matched customer.
