Total Tips Card

What the Total Tips card measures and why Work Planner keeps tip income separate from normal revenue.

Work Planner TeamApril 12, 2026

The Total Tips card shows gratuity received inside the current date range. Work Planner keeps this separate from normal revenue so you can see the extra amount clearly instead of burying it inside standard charges.

What It Counts

  • Completed tips: The card totals completed tip entries for the selected period.
  • Date-sensitive: Like the main revenue card, this one changes when you change the Dashboard date range.
  • Separate from revenue: Tips are not folded into the normal revenue headline, which makes it easier to see whether extra gratuity is growing or falling.

When It Helps

  • Team performance conversations: It can show whether certain periods generate stronger customer goodwill.
  • Read beside revenue: Looking at this card next to Total Revenue helps you separate charge income from extras.
