Move Items Popup
How to move selected worksheet items to another worksheet or into a brand new worksheet.
Move to Worksheet is the batch transfer popup for worksheet items that are already on a worksheet. It is useful when work needs splitting, reshaping, or handing over to another worksheet without re-adding every job and quote manually.
Before You Open It
- Selection required: The popup works on selected worksheet items only.
- Jobs and quotes together: The header tells you how many selected jobs and quotes are being moved.
- Mixed-business warning: If the selected worksheet items span more than one business, the popup warns you and asks you to be deliberate about the destination.
Choosing Existing or New
- Select Existing: Search the incomplete worksheets and choose a different worksheet to move the selected items into.
- Create New: Create a brand new worksheet and move the selected items into it in one step.
Fields in Create New
- Business: Appears when the selected items come from multiple businesses. It decides which business owns the new worksheet.
- Worksheet Name: Defaults to today’s date if you do not type your own name.
- Assigned Team Member: Use this if the new worksheet should immediately belong to someone specific.
What Happens After Confirm
- Order carries across: The items are moved into the destination worksheet and added onto that worksheet’s existing item order.
- Current worksheet updates: The source worksheet refreshes so the moved items disappear from the list you were looking at.
- Move only, not copy: This popup is transferring the worksheet items, not duplicating them.
