Revoking an Invitation

How the revoke action works on invitation rows, including multi-business invitations and what happens when the last assignment is removed.

Work Planner TeamApril 12, 2026

Use the trash action on a pending invitation row when the invitation should no longer be accepted. Work Planner asks for confirmation before it removes anything.

What The Revoke Action Removes

  • Single-business invitation: the invitation record is removed, so the recipient can no longer accept it.
  • Multi-business invitation: revoking from the current business removes that business assignment first. If the invitation still has assignments for other businesses, those remain in place.
  • Last remaining assignment: if the business you revoke is the last assignment attached to the invitation, Work Planner deletes the invitation completely.

What It Does Not Change

  • Accepted invitations: accepted invites cannot be revoked through this flow.
  • Existing team members: revoking a pending invitation does not remove anyone who has already accepted and joined.

When To Revoke

  • Wrong email: the invitation was sent to the wrong address.
  • Wrong business mix: the invitation includes a business the person should not receive.
  • No longer needed: the person should not be joining after all.
