Blog Settings
What the blog archive settings control and how they affect the public blog page.
Open the Settings tab inside the website blog area when you want to control the main archive page rather than an individual post. These settings affect how the list of posts is introduced and split into pages for visitors.
Fields In Blog Settings
- Archive title: the main heading shown on the public blog archive page. Use this for the overall name of your articles section.
- Archive description: the supporting text shown on the blog archive page. This is a good place to explain the kinds of topics visitors will find there.
- Posts per page: controls how many posts load on each archive page before pagination takes over.
When To Change These
- Change the title and description: when the blog needs a clearer public introduction than the default wording.
- Lower posts per page: if archive pages feel too long or image-heavy.
- Raise posts per page: if you publish often and want visitors to see more posts before moving to another page.
What This Does Not Control
These settings do not change the blog page navigation label, whether the blog page appears in the website menu, or the SEO settings on the website page itself. Those are handled from My Website > Pages on the built-in blog page.
