Blog Tag Popup
How the tag popup works when you create, review, or edit a blog tag.
The tag popup behaves the same way as the category popup, but it is used for the more specific labels you attach to posts. Open it from the Tags tab or from the post editor with the New tag button.
What You See In Review Mode
- Name: the saved tag label.
- Slug: the URL-friendly version of that tag.
- Posts: a list of posts already using the tag, or a note that the tag has not been used yet.
- Edit: switches the popup into edit mode.
Fields In Create Or Edit Mode
- Tag name: the label shown in the editor.
- Slug: the saved URL-friendly version.
- Use suggested slug: builds the slug from the tag name automatically.
A Good Habit With Tags
Keep tag names short and practical. They work best when they help you connect related posts across different categories without turning the tag list into a second copy of the category list.
