Revenue Trend Widget
How the Dashboard Revenue Trend chart works, including when it switches from daily to monthly grouping.
Revenue Trend is the line chart version of the Total Revenue story. Instead of one headline number, it shows how completed charge revenue is spread across the selected period.
How the Grouping Works
- Shorter periods: For shorter ranges, the chart groups revenue day by day.
- Longer periods: When the selected range goes beyond roughly 60 days, Work Planner switches to monthly grouping so the chart stays readable.
- All Time: This also uses monthly grouping.
What It Is Plotting
- Completed charges: The chart follows completed charge revenue, not payments received.
- Date-sensitive: The selected Dashboard range completely reshapes the chart.
- Trend use: This is the best Dashboard view for spotting peaks, drops, and seasonality in revenue.
