Planner Date Navigation and Filters

How to move around the planner date range, use quick ranges, and understand which businesses the planner is showing.

The planner only makes sense if you are looking at the right range. The date button at the top of the screen is what decides which days load underneath, which overdue jobs are compared against that range, and which notes, quotes, and jobs appear in view.

Using the Date Picker

  • Start and end dates: Planner works on a start date and an end date. The screen refreshes from that exact range when you apply the change.
  • Quick ranges: The built-in shortcuts are Last Month, This Month, Next Month, Next 7 Days, Next 14 Days, and Next 30 Days.
  • Range limit: Planner will not accept a range longer than 90 days. If you need more history or wider reporting, that is usually a sign to move into reporting screens instead of the live planner.

What the Screen Remembers

  • Your last range: Planner saves the last valid start and end dates you used on your account so the screen can reopen close to where you were working.
  • URL state: The selected range is also written into the page URL. That helps when you refresh the page or return to the planner later in the same browser session.

Business Selection

Planner does not show its own business dropdown inside the screen. It follows the active business selection you already have in the tenant app. If you are working across multiple businesses, the planner can merge the range and working-day setup from those selected businesses. That is why the same date range can look different after you change business selection elsewhere in the app.

How This Affects the Views

  • Summary view: Uses the selected range to decide which day cards appear.
  • Detailed view: Uses the same range but only shows the days allowed by your visible-day settings.
  • Day view: Focuses on one day at a time, but that day still sits inside the active planner range.
