Round Value Report

How the round value report shows what your repeating work is worth a visit, a month and a year, by round, service or how often it’s done, and what your jobs will bring in each of the next 12 months, as the Planner places the visits.

Work Planner Team24 October 2026

The round value report, in Reports > Work > Round value, shows what your repeating work is worth: for each round, how many jobs repeat on it, how many visits they come to a year, and what that's worth a visit, a month and a year. It looks ahead too, at what your jobs will bring in each of the next 12 months, visit by visit, as the Planner places them. Like the other reports, it covers one business at a time.

It looks forward where the Completed Jobs Report looks back: that report is the work already done in a period, and this one is the work your active jobs will bring in. Planned value on the Planner covers the days you're looking at, up to 90 at a time, while this report looks a year ahead.

Which Jobs Count

Only work that's going ahead: active jobs for active customers, on a round still in use or on no round. Suspended jobs, quotes, the jobs of a customer who's cancelled or transferred, and jobs on an archived round earn nothing until they're going again, so they're left out. So are cancelled, complete and transferred jobs.

Filters

  • Business: with more than one business selected, the one the report covers. Changing it clears the rounds and services you've picked, as each business has its own.
  • Round: narrows the report to the rounds you pick, and No round to the jobs that aren't on one. Archived rounds aren't offered, as their jobs aren't counted.
  • Service: narrows it to the services you pick, with No service for the jobs without one.
  • Clear Filters: shows once you've picked something, and puts the filters back as they started.

The filters apply to every tab, and to what you print or export.

Tabs

  • By round: a line for each round, with No round for the jobs that aren't on one.
  • By service: a line for each service, with No service for the jobs without one.
  • By how often: a line for each way the jobs repeat, such as Every week, Every 2 weeks, Every 4 weeks, Every month or Every 3 months, the most often first. All the jobs done every 4 weeks share a line, whatever round or service they're on.

By round and By service put what's worth the most a year first. The Total line at the bottom of each tab adds up every line.

Click a column heading to sort by it, click it again to sort the other way, and a third time to put the rows back as they were. Names go A to Z first, and numbers and money biggest first.

Each Month and Year or Next 12 Months

Above the table, choose how to lay it out:

  • Each month and year: what your repeating jobs are worth a visit, a month and a year, as they stand today. The report starts on this.
  • Next 12 months: a column for each month from this one, with what the visits due that month are worth, or how many there are.

The choice stays as it is when you move between the tabs.

Each Month and Year

A line for each round, service or schedule, with:

  • Jobs: how many repeating jobs it has.
  • Visits a year: how many visits those jobs come to in a year, to one decimal place. A job done every week counts 52.2 and one done every 4 weeks 13.0: every so many weeks is 52.18 visits a year divided by the weeks, and every so many months is 12 divided by the months. A job done every so many days counts the visits the Planner places in a year: a visit moved off a day you don't work onto a day the job already has counts once, so a job done every day by a business working Monday to Friday counts 260.9. A weekly job with more than one day picked still counts once a week, as that's how the Planner schedules it. A job set to repeat but never given a date isn't counted, as the Planner has nowhere to put it: it's in the note under the table with the one-off jobs.
  • A visit: what one visit to each of those jobs comes to, added up.
  • A month: a year's worth divided by 12.
  • A year: each job's visit times its visits a year, added up.

A visit is worth the job's usual price:

  • Alternate price: a job with an Alternate Price counts the average of its two prices, as they take turns.
  • First price: a job still to have its first visit at its First Price counts its usual price, or prices, as that's what it goes on to.
  • Hourly Per Person: a visit is the rate times the people times the hours.

One-off jobs, and jobs on No Schedule, aren't in these figures, as they don't repeat. A note under the table says how many there are and what one visit to each comes to, such as 1 one-off or unscheduled job, worth £100.00 a visit, isn’t counted here, as it doesn’t repeat.

Next 12 Months

A column for this month and each of the 11 after it, such as 23–31 Oct 2026 to Sep 2027, then Total. This month only counts from today, and its heading says which days. A second choice sets what the months show: Value, what the visits are worth, or Visits, how many visits are due.

  • Each visit on its day: a job's visits fall on the dates the Planner gives it, including moving a visit off a day you don't work, as your working days say. A visit moved onto a day the job already has one counts once, as the Planner shows it once.
  • One-off and unscheduled jobs: count on their due date, when it's in the 12 months. On By how often they're added up under Not repeating.
  • The price each visit is charged: alternate prices take turns, a First Price counts for the first visit only, and a price rise that's been set up counts from the day it starts, unless the job's price has been changed by hand since, as then the rise is skipped.
  • Overdue visits: aren't included, as the months only count the visits due from today.

A note under the table says which days it covers, such as Visits due from 23 October 2026 to 30 September 2027, as the Planner places them, with price rises from their day.

VAT

For a VAT-registered business the values are before VAT, as on the other reports, and a note under the table says Values are before VAT, as your business is VAT registered. Otherwise they're what your customers are charged.

Printing and Exporting

  • Print: opens what the tab shows as a PDF to print or save, with your business name, the day or dates it's for, and the Total line. Next 12 months prints across the page, with the values rounded to the nearest pound or euro so the months fit.
  • Export CSV: downloads what the tab shows as a CSV, with the same columns and the Total line at the end, for the filters you've chosen. Its name says the tab and the day, such as work-planner-round-value-by-round-2026-10-23.csv, and Next 12 months adds -next-12-months, such as work-planner-round-value-by-round-next-12-months-2026-10-23.csv, or -next-12-months-visits when the months show the visits.

Who Can See It

Anyone whose role can see reports. People whose role doesn't include View Prices and Balances see the jobs and visits only: there's no A visit, A month or A year, and Next 12 months counts the visits, with no Value to choose. What they print or export leaves the money out too, and their lines are in order of the most jobs or visits rather than what they're worth.

Printing and exporting need Export Reports and Lists under Reports on the role, as owners, admins and the ready-made Accountant role have: Print and Export CSV only show if yours does. See Editing a Role. They aren't in the iPhone and Android apps, which can't save a download: print or export from Work Planner in a web browser.
