Planner Settings Popup
How to control which fields appear on planner job cards, which days are visible, and how the overdue column behaves.
Planner Settings is where you decide how much information the planner shows you and how dense or spacious the screen feels. These choices are personal to your account, so you can make the planner work your way without changing it for everyone else.
Job Card Fields
- Job fields: You can show items such as Reference, Address 1, Postcode, and Last Done directly on the planner card.
- Customer fields: Use these when the customer name, company, address, or phone matters more than the job reference while you are planning.
- Related fields: Service Name and the round name help when route or service context matters more than customer detail.
- When to leave fields off: If the planner feels crowded or hard to scan, remove anything you do not need every day. The card stays far easier to read when it only carries the fields you genuinely use while scheduling.
Visible Days
- Day checkboxes: These decide which weekdays are shown in detailed planner view.
- Working-day defaults: If you have never saved planner settings before, Work Planner starts from the organisation working days for the active business selection.
- Why this matters: Hiding unused days shortens the screen and makes weekly planning much easier, especially on smaller laptops.
Size and Overdue Column
- Size: Choose Small, Medium, or Large to control how much content each planner card can show before the screen starts to feel crowded.
- Overdue Column Visibility: Always keeps the overdue column on screen, Only When Has Items hides it when there is nothing overdue, and Never keeps it hidden unless you briefly reveal it from the planner warning chip.
- When to use Never: This is helpful if overdue work exists but you do not want it permanently using horizontal space on the detailed planner.
Reset and Save
- Reset to defaults: This puts job card fields, visible days, size, and overdue-column behaviour back to the default planner setup.
- Save Preferences: Saving updates the planner straight away and stores the choices for your account, so the same layout comes back next time.
