Equipment List

How to manage the equipment list under Settings and what each column on the page is showing you.

Work Planner TeamMay 28, 2026

Equipment lives under Dashboard -> Settings -> Equipment. The page is the master list of every piece of gear your team might need to take to a job, so that the kit needed for the day shows up on each worksheet and individual job card. You only need to set this up once and then assign equipment as you create or edit jobs.

What You See on the Page

  • Name: The name your team will recognise, shown with a coloured initial next to it.
  • Color: A small swatch that flows through to job and worksheet badges so equipment is easy to spot at a glance.
  • Created: When the equipment record was first added.
  • Actions: A delete button per row that confirms before removing the equipment.
  • Search: Filters the list by equipment name.
  • Business filter: When you operate more than one business, the business filter appears so you can narrow the list to a single business or share equipment across all of them.
  • Stored filters: Search text and the business selection are remembered for next time you visit the page.

Adding New Equipment

Use the New Equipment button in the top right. It opens the equipment popup where you set the name, choose a colour, and optionally pick which business the equipment belongs to.

Opening and Deleting

  • Row click: Opens the equipment in the popup in read-only mode, with an Edit button if you need to change anything.
  • Delete: The bin icon on each row confirms first. Removing equipment also removes it from any jobs it was assigned to.
