Website Templates

How the website template table works, what the preview and customise actions do, and how to make a template active.

Work Planner TeamApril 13, 2026

Open the Template tab from Website Overview to compare the available website designs for the current business. Each row is a template Work Planner can apply to the public site.

What The Table Shows

  • Template: the template name and its short design summary.
  • Primary color: the current main colour for that template, including any saved custom colour override.
  • Status: either Active for the template currently in use or Available for the others.

Actions On Each Row

  • Preview: opens a live preview using the selected template.
  • Customise: opens the colour customiser popup for that template.
  • Use this template: saves the selected template onto the current website.

When Preview Is Available

Previewing depends on the website having been saved already. If the website itself has not been created yet, save the settings first so Work Planner has something to preview.

What Changes After Activation

Using a template changes the public presentation of the whole website. Existing pages from Website Pages List, images, and blog content from Blog Manager remain in place, but the layout and template styling around them change to match the active design.
