Updating a Website Enquiry Status
How the enquiry status dropdown works and when to move an enquiry between New, Read, and Archived.
Each enquiry card in Website Enquiries includes a status dropdown so you can track whether a website lead is still fresh, already reviewed, or no longer active.
Status Choices
- New: leave the enquiry here while it still needs first review or a first response.
- Read: useful once somebody has checked the message and the enquiry is in progress.
- Archived: move old or completed enquiries here when they no longer need day-to-day attention.
What The Change Does
Changing the dropdown updates the saved enquiry record immediately. It does not send a message to the customer by itself, and it does not create a customer record automatically, so if the lead is turning into real work you still need to do that separately in Creating a Customer.
