Deleting a Website Enquiry

How the Delete enquiry action works and when it is better to archive a website enquiry instead of removing it.

Work Planner TeamApril 13, 2026

The Delete enquiry button permanently removes a website submission from the Enquiries tab.

When Delete Makes Sense

  • Spam or test submissions: remove enquiries that were never real leads.
  • Duplicates: keep the useful record and remove the spare copy.

When Archive Is Usually Better

If the enquiry was genuine and you may want to refer back to it later, changing the status to Archived through Updating a Website Enquiry Status is usually safer than deleting it outright.

What Delete Does Not Do

Deleting the enquiry only removes the stored submission from the website inbox. It does not delete any customer record or job record you may already have created from that lead elsewhere in Work Planner, such as a record created during Creating a Customer.
