Removing a Connected Hostname

How the Remove action works on a connected hostname and what the public website falls back to afterwards.

Work Planner TeamApril 13, 2026

Use Remove in the hostname status list on Connected Hostnames when the customer domain should no longer point at the website.

What Remove Does

  • Deletes the connected hostname record: the customer-owned hostname is removed from the Work Planner side.
  • Resets the primary public hostname: Work Planner falls back to the platform hostname afterwards.
  • Updates routing configuration: the website stops expecting traffic on that connected hostname.

What To Check First

Make sure the customer no longer needs that domain on the website. Once removed, you usually rely on the platform URL again until a new hostname is added through Adding a Connected Hostname and verified.
