Jobs by Status Widget

How to read the Jobs by Status chart on the Dashboard and what its status totals actually represent.

Work Planner TeamApril 11, 2026

Jobs by Status is the quick status snapshot on the Dashboard. It shows how many jobs sit in each main status right now across the selected businesses.

What the Chart Counts

  • Statuses included: Quote, Active, Suspended, Cancelled, Complete, and Transferred.
  • Current snapshot: This widget is about the current state of jobs, not the amount of work completed inside the chosen date range.
  • Business-sensitive: The chart respects the selected businesses on the Dashboard.

How to Read It

  • High Active count: Usually means there is a large live workload still in circulation.
  • High Suspended or Cancelled count: Often a sign that statuses need reviewing or old jobs need tidying up.
  • Transferred count: Useful in accounts that move work between businesses and need a quick sense of how much has been moved away.

When This Widget Is Useful

  • Operational review: It helps you see whether the job book is mostly active work or whether a large portion is sitting in another state.
  • Management check: The chart is useful for spotting status buildup without opening the Jobs list first.
  • Next step: If one bar looks unexpectedly high, open the Jobs list and filter down to that status for the real detail.
