Business Selection Screen

How the business selection screen is laid out, what each card does, and how Work Planner handles switching between businesses.

Open Select Business when you need to move between businesses, work across more than one business in the same session, or add another business to the account. The screen decides which businesses feed the rest of the app, including the Dashboard and every business-aware list underneath it.

Main Areas On The Screen

  • Your Businesses: the main card listing every business you can currently access.
  • Continue button: applies the current selection and takes you into the dashboard.
  • Create New Business: the separate card used to start onboarding for another business or, if you are at the limit, to send you to upgrade options instead.
  • Alerts at the top: success and error banners appear here after actions such as deleting a business or failing to switch.

What Each Business Row Shows

  • Checkbox: whether that business is currently included in this session.
  • Name and colour: the business name is shown next to its saved colour marker.
  • Count badge: owned businesses can show a badge such as 1/3 so you can see how they fit into the current business allowance.
  • Edit button: appears when you can manage that business's settings.
  • Upgrade to access: appears when a business is locked because the current limit does not cover it.

Back To Dashboard

If you already have a current business active, a Back to dashboard button appears at the top. That lets you leave the screen without changing anything.

How The Selection Is Used

When you press Continue, Work Planner saves the selected businesses into the current session and returns you to the dashboard. The selected set stays with your session until you change it again, so this screen is not just a temporary view.
