Worksheet Card Settings Popup

How to choose which fields appear on each worksheet item card, including the job, customer, and related groups.

Work Planner TeamMay 28, 2026

Every worksheet item is rendered as a card that summarises the work for the visit. The card settings popup lets you decide which fields appear on those cards, so the layout can match how your team reads a worksheet at the start of a day. Open it from the cog icon in the worksheet toolbar.

Where to Open It

On the worksheet detail screen, the settings cog sits next to the view and order controls. The selection is saved against your user account, so the layout follows you across worksheets and across devices.

Field Groups

  • Job Information: Visit-level fields such as Last Done, Next Due, Due Time, Duration, People, and Worksheet Note. Turn these on when the team needs scheduling context at a glance.
  • Customer Information: Customer name parts, company, address parts, mobile, and landline. Turn these on when the team uses the worksheet itself as their address book on the day.
  • Related Information: Service name, price, and status. These are usually on for any worksheet that includes paid work, so the team can confirm price and outcome quickly.

Defaults and Reset

  • Default fields: Out of the box the popup includes due time, duration, people, customer name and address, town, postcode, price, and status.
  • Reset to Defaults: The button at the bottom rebuilds the default selection in place. The reset takes effect for the live view immediately, but the change is only persisted to your account when you save.
  • Cancel: Closes the popup without keeping the selection.
  • Save: Persists the selection across worksheets and sessions.

How the Selection Behaves

  • Field order is fixed: Selected fields render in the same order Work Planner uses for the canonical card layout; the popup decides visibility, not order.
  • Empty values stay hidden: If a field is selected but the underlying record does not have a value, the card simply does not render that line.
  • Per user: Each team member can configure their own card layout without affecting anyone else.
