Customer Sources List

How the Customer Sources list works and where those source labels are used in customers and quotes later.

Work Planner TeamApril 12, 2026

Open Settings > Customer Sources when you want a clean, reusable list for where customers and enquiries come from. This is the master list used by customer and quote flows when you want to tag a lead as something like Website, Referral, or Leaflet.

What You See First

  • Search customer sources: Searches by source name.
  • Business filter: Appears for multi-business logins so you can narrow the list to one business.
  • New Customer Source: Opens the create popup from the list header.
  • List summary: The header shows how many customer sources are currently in view.

Columns in the List

  • Name: The source label used elsewhere in the app.
  • Color: The saved hex colour for quick recognition.
  • Created: The date the source record was added.
  • Actions: Each row has a delete action.

Working From a Row

  • Click the row: Opens the source details popup in read-only mode.
  • Delete: Opens a confirmation popup before removing that source.
  • Clear Filters: Appears when a business filter is active and resets the list back to all available businesses.

What Changes Elsewhere

Sources created here appear later on customer create and edit flows, quote flows that capture the source of work, customer filtering, and import matching. Keeping this list tidy makes lead-source reporting and staff notes much easier to trust later.
