My Website
Website Media Library
How the shared website media library works, including uploads, alt text, captions, and deletion.
The Media tab is the shared image library for the website. Images uploaded here can be reused across galleries, custom pages, and other website content.
What The Table Shows
- Preview: a thumbnail of the uploaded image.
- File name: the original file name stored against that image.
- Dimensions: the width and height when Work Planner knows them.
- Size: the file size shown in KB or MB.
- Alt text: the accessibility label used when the image is inserted into content.
- Caption: optional supporting text shown where the content surface supports captions.
Uploading A New Image
- Upload image: opens the image popup.
- Image file: choose a PNG, JPG, GIF, or WebP up to 10 MB.
- Alt text: describe what is in the image. This is worth filling in properly because the custom page editor can use it later.
- Caption: add optional display text if the image will be shown with a caption.
Editing An Existing Image
Click any row to reopen the image popup in edit mode. From there you can update the alt text or caption without reuploading the file.
Deleting An Image
Deleting permanently removes that image from the website media library. Work Planner also resequences galleries that used it, so it is worth checking affected galleries or custom pages afterwards.
