Favicon Options

How favicon source options work, when to upload a file, and when to reuse the organisation logo instead.

The favicon settings live in the Overview tab under the Favicon section. The favicon is the small icon shown in the browser tab for the public website.

Favicon Source Options

  • None: no custom favicon is used.
  • Upload: lets you upload a dedicated icon file just for the website.
  • Logo: reuses the organisation logo already saved in Settings > Organisation Information.

When To Upload A File

Choose Upload when you want the sharpest result or when the organisation logo is not suitable as a tiny tab icon. Work Planner accepts ICO, PNG, JPG, and WebP, then converts image uploads into a favicon-friendly square icon.

When To Use The Organisation Logo

Choose Logo when the saved organisation logo already works well at a very small size and you want to avoid maintaining a separate icon file. If no organisation logo exists yet, Work Planner blocks this option until one has been added in Branding and Business Details.

The Preview Box

The preview area shows the current icon, its title, and the file information where available. This is the quickest way to check whether the favicon is actually what you expected before saving.
