Cancelling a Bolt-On

How recurring bolt-on cancellation works, what the warning popup means, and why business-capacity add-ons need extra attention before they are stopped.

Work Planner TeamApril 13, 2026

The Cancel button appears on active recurring add-ons in the Bolt-Ons table. One-time purchases do not usually show this action.

What The Popup Means

  • Cancel Bolt-On: confirms which add-on is being stopped.
  • End-of-period wording: the popup explains that the add-on stays active until the end of the current billing period rather than disappearing immediately.
  • Processing label: switches to Cancelling... while Work Planner sends the request.

Extra Warning For Business Add-Ons

If the add-on increases the number of businesses the account can use, Work Planner can show a warning about the projected allowance after cancellation. That warning matters because extra businesses may be locked when the cancellation finally takes effect.

What Changes In The Table Afterwards

  • Status: changes from Active to Cancelling.
  • Billing column: changes to a Cancels ... date so you know when it actually ends.
  • Uncancel button: becomes available while the add-on is still active and waiting to end.
