Bolt-On Billing Summary

What each row in the bolt-on billing summary means, including quantity, charge today, renewal pricing, and next billing dates.

Work Planner TeamApril 13, 2026

The billing summary inside the purchase popup is the final pricing check before you confirm a bolt-on. It is especially useful when the add-on renews with the main subscription or when quantity changes the amount due.

Rows You May See

  • Price or Price per pack: the single-unit amount for the chosen add-on.
  • Quantity: shown when more than one pack or unit is being purchased.
  • Charge today: the amount Stripe will take now.
  • Renews at: the normal recurring price that will apply on renewal for recurring bolt-ons.
  • Next billing date: the date the recurring add-on joins the next normal billing cycle.

Why The Description Text Changes

  • Beta: the summary explains that the add-on is being added free during beta.
  • One-time purchase: the text explains that Stripe charges it once and it does not auto-renew.
  • Recurring purchase: the text explains whether the first charge is prorated and when it joins the main subscription billing date.

What To Double-Check

Before you confirm, check the quantity, the charge today, and whether the add-on renews. This is the point where accidental extra packs or extra business units are easiest to catch after choosing the add-on in Choosing a Bolt-On to Add.
