Bolt-On Purchase Popup

How the bolt-on purchase popup works, when quantity appears, and how the confirm button changes as Work Planner calculates the charge.

Work Planner TeamApril 13, 2026

Some add-ons go straight through when you choose them. Others open a purchase popup first so Work Planner can ask for quantity and calculate the current charge.

What You See In The Popup

  • Title and description: the popup header repeats the add-on name and description so you can confirm you picked the right thing.
  • Quantity: shown on add-ons that support buying more than one unit, such as business allowance or address lookup packs.
  • Total line: updates with the quantity so you can see the rough total before the billing summary finishes loading.

When Quantity Matters

  • Address lookup packs: the helper text shows how many lookups the chosen quantity gives you.
  • Business add-ons: the helper text shows how many extra businesses the chosen quantity covers.
  • Maximum 10: the quantity field is limited, so very large jumps need to be done in smaller steps.

Billing Summary In The Same Popup

Under the form, Work Planner loads a billing summary card. The confirm button stays disabled while that summary is still loading or when Stripe cannot calculate the charge yet.

Confirm Button Wording

  • Confirm and pay £... appears when a charge is due today.
  • Add or Purchase: appears when no immediate Stripe payment is needed, such as during beta or when the total is zero.
  • Cancel: closes the popup without buying anything.
