GoCardless Upgrade Popup
What the GoCardless upgrade prompt means, which buttons it gives you, and why a plan upgrade still does not replace integration setup.
If you open a GoCardless payment route from debts but the current plan does not include that feature, Work Planner swaps the usual flow out for an upgrade popup instead. This happens before any payment or setup request is created.
Why the Popup Appears
- Plan access: The popup appears when the login does not currently have access to GoCardless Direct Debit features.
- Typical entry points: You can hit it from GoCardless payment, Direct Debit setup, or other GoCardless-only options on the debt screen.
What the Popup Says
- Upgrade Required: The header makes it clear the action is blocked by plan access rather than a validation error on the debt itself.
- Feature message: The message explains that GoCardless Direct Debit is included on Pro and Team plans, or you can enable it with the GoCardless Integration bolt-on.
- Upgrade: Opens the subscription upgrade route.
- Manage Bolt-Ons: Opens the bolt-on route when bolt-ons are available for this feature.
What It Does Not Do
Unlocking plan access does not connect the GoCardless account for you. After access is available, the business still needs a live GoCardless integration before the debt screen can send setup links or collect payments.
After You Close It
Closing the popup leaves the debt unchanged. No mandate is created, no payment request is started, and no link is sent. You simply return to the debt screen and can try again after the plan or bolt-on has been updated.
