Finishing and Printing a Collection Sheet

Finishing a collection sheet once the round is done, moving the stops still owing to a new sheet or leaving them off, what a finished sheet keeps, and printing the sheet to take with you.

Finishing a Sheet

Once the round is done, choose Finish Collection Sheet at the top of the sheet, or Finish on a phone. The payments taken at its stops were recorded as you took them, so finishing doesn't record anything more. It asks Confirm Collection Sheet Finish:

  • With stops still owing: It says how many, such as This collection sheet has 3 stops still owing, and asks what to do with them. That's every stop not yet paid off, whether it was part paid, not in, promised, refused or not called on.
  • Move to a new collection sheet: Makes a new sheet with those stops, for the next round. New Collection Sheet Name starts as this sheet's name, so change it to tell them apart. The new sheet is for the same person and in the same order, and it opens once this one is finished. Its stops start afresh, with no outcomes or notes.
  • Leave them off: They stay on this sheet as not collected, still owing, and can go on another sheet later.
  • With nothing owing: It just asks Are you sure you want to finish this collection sheet?

Yes, Finish Collection Sheet finishes it.

What a Finished Sheet Keeps

A finished sheet shows as Finished in the list and can't be changed. It keeps what each job owed when it was finished, what was collected at each stop and what happened there, as a record of the round. Its jobs are free to go on another sheet. To see your finished sheets, set the list's Status filter to Finished or All.

Printing a Sheet

Print, above the stops (on a phone, one of the round buttons under the sheet's name), makes the sheet as a PDF to take with you, headed with its name. It's the same layout as the debt list: each customer's jobs with what they owe, a box to tick for paid or part paid, and room for the amount. See Printing the Debt List.

  • Order: The sheet's own order, so it follows the doors as you'll call on them.
  • An open sheet: Only the jobs still owing, so you can print it again part way through.
  • A finished sheet: All its jobs.

Who Can Finish and Print

Finishing needs Update, under Collection sheets on the Roles screen, and moving the stops still owing to a new sheet also needs Create. Without it, finishing leaves them off. Print needs Print Documents, and is left out when your role can't see prices and balances. See Editing a Role.
