Address Lookup Popup

How the Address Lookup popup works, when it is available, and what happens when you use a selected address.

Work Planner Team12 April 2026

The Find Address popup helps you pull a typed address into Work Planner instead of filling every address field manually. It is most useful when you are creating or editing jobs, customers, or quotes and want the address fields plus map location filled in together.

What You Can See In The Popup

  • Search Address: this is the search box where you start typing the address you want.
  • Search button: runs the lookup when you are ready.
  • Usage summary: shows how many lookups have been used in the current billing period and how many remain.
  • Results list: shows matching address results you can click.
  • Selected Address: shows the chosen result and its coordinates once you pick one.
  • Map Preview: shows the location on the map when a result is selected and a map preview is available.

When The Popup Is Locked

  • Address lookup requires an add-on: appears when the business does not currently have access to address lookup.
  • No address lookups remaining: appears when the business has used the available allowance for the current billing period.

What Happens When You Use Address

The Use Address button fills more than one field. It sends the selected result back into the form with the usual address lines plus postcode and geocoding details. In practice that means Work Planner can fill fields such as address line one, town, county, postcode, the full geocoded address string, and the map coordinates together.

That is why this popup is usually worth using when the work address matters for route planning, map display, or scheduling. If the address is unusual or not showing correctly in the results, you can still cancel the popup and continue with manual address entry instead.
