Debts Filters

How search, visibility, business filtering, and saved table preferences work on the Debts screen.

The Debts screen lets you narrow the list without changing any debt data. Filters only change what you are looking at, so you can safely move around until the table shows the exact balances you need to work on.

Search Debts

  • Search debts: Searches job reference, payment reference, worksheet note, invoice description, job address fields, customer reference and name, company name, service name, and round name.
  • Best use: This is the fastest way to find one known debt when you already know part of the customer name, service, address, or payment reference.
  • Live reload: The table refreshes as the search changes, so you do not need an extra apply button.

Visibility

  • Show Current: Keeps the list focused on current active work. This is the default view when you first open the page.
  • Show Inactive: Pulls back inactive work only, which is useful when you are cleaning up older or stopped jobs.
  • Show All: Combines both views when you need the full picture across active and inactive debts.

Business Filter

  • Business: Appears when your login can access more than one business. The table and the debt summary cards both recalculate inside that business scope.
  • Selected count: The field shows how many businesses are currently included, which is helpful when you are switching between one business and all businesses.

Sorting and Saved Table Behaviour

  • Default sort: The screen opens sorted by Age so the oldest debt tends to surface first.
  • Clickable columns: Age, Customer, Address, Balance, and Last Done can all be sorted from the table header.
  • Remembered settings: Your sort order and page size are saved, so the debt list usually comes back the way you left it.

Clear Filters

  • What it resets: Clear Filters puts Visibility back to Show Current and clears the business selection.
  • What it does not reset: It does not clear the search box. If the list still looks narrow afterwards, check whether a search term is still in place.

What Changes Elsewhere

Nothing in this filter bar changes the debt itself. It only changes the view, the row count, and the summary totals you are looking at on the screen.
