Overview

This article explains how to use the main planner screen to review scheduled work, overdue items, linked quotes, and day-by-day activity without leaving the planning workflow.

When to use this

Use this article when you need a focused explanation of this screen or step without having to scan through a larger umbrella page.

How it fits into the flow

Planner overview sits within Work / Planner. It is designed to work alongside related articles such as Adding planner items to a worksheet, Completing a job from the planner, Opening job details from the planner, so users can move through the workflow without relying on one giant reference page.

Main actions

  • Move through dates and planner views to understand what is due now, what is overdue, and what still needs to be placed.
  • Open linked jobs or quotes directly from the planner when you need more detail before taking action.
  • Use the planner as the main coordination screen before moving into worksheet creation, date changes, notes, or completion steps.
  • Common on-screen actions include Add to Worksheet, Update Date, Cancel.

Important fields

  • Planner period and date controls help you move around the schedule without losing sight of the wider workload.
  • Overdue and unscheduled areas are useful for spotting work that still needs attention before the route or day is finalised.
  • Content: Look for input such as “Enter note content...”.
  • Mark as important: Turn this option on only when it applies to the current workflow.
  • New Due Date: The next due date will be automatically recalculated based on each job's schedule settings.
