Saved Sections
How to keep a section you’ve designed and add it to your other templates, website pages and blog posts, and how to rename or delete saved sections.
A saved section is a copy of a section you’ve designed, such as a header with your logo or a block of payment details, kept so you can add it to other designs in a click. Saved sections live on the Saved tab of the design editor, beside Blocks and Sections.
Saving a Section
- Save section: Click a section on the page to select it, then choose Save section on the toolbar under it.
- Name: Give it a name you’ll recognise, up to 100 characters, such as Header with logo, and press Save.
- It’s a copy: Changing the section in this design afterwards doesn’t change the saved one, and the saved one doesn’t change the designs it was added to.
Where Your Saved Sections Are Shared
- Document templates: Sections saved in any template are offered in all your templates.
- Website pages and blog posts: These share their own set, separate from templates, as a printed document and a web page need different things.
- Each business: Saved sections belong to the business they were saved in.
Adding a Saved Section
Open the Saved tab. Your saved sections are listed newest first, each with a preview. Click one to add it at the end of the page, or drag it to where you want it between sections.
A template only lists saved sections whose variables its kind of document has, so a section with an invoice’s total isn’t offered in a worksheet. A note on the tab says how many were left out for that reason.
Renaming and Deleting
- Rename: From the three dots on a saved section.
- Delete: From the same menu, after a check. It only removes the saved section; designs that already use it keep their copy.
- How many: You can keep up to 100 saved sections for templates, and 100 for website pages and blog posts. Delete one you no longer use to make room.
